Rare Fracture Metacarpal in a Child

This 4 yrs old child had fracture of base of third metacarpal

 

Note the marked rotational deformity of the left middle finger

Normal alignment is seen after reduction

Fracture Neck of Talus in a child

Fracture of talus is a rare injury in children.

The child attended the emergency with history of fall. X ray shows fracture of neck of talus extending into the body.

The child was treated conservatively on below knee plaster.

Fracture Intracapsular Neck of Femur

46 yrs old lady had history of fall from stairs when she sustained trauma to her left hip and was diagnosed as having intra-articular fracture of neck of femur

She was operated on the same day for closed reduction and internal fixation with 3 cannulated cancellous sctrews

X ray at 3 months follow up show collapse of the fracture proceeding towards the union
